Marissol Mwaba
Marissol Mwaba is plural. A Brazilian artist of Congolese origin, she has catalogued galaxies, released an album, an EP and several singles, speaks four languages, and is a TEDx speaker. In 2023, she published her first book, A Viagem de Nyota, at the Planetarium do Carmo (São Paulo), and was awarded the Virgílio Várzea Medal and a Certificate of Merit by the city of Florianópolis.
Marissol’s music sits at the crossroads of alternative pop and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). Her new album, released on October 3, blends her own compositions with rich collaborations, both in production and in the voices that accompany her.
Signed as a songwriter with BMG Brasil, she had already established herself as a singular creator through her ability to move seamlessly and authentically between genres, having composed extensively for renowned Brazilian artists such as Luedji Luna, Tuyo, and Chico César.

Her new album Convecta allows her to fully assert the essence of her music. In complete creative freedom, she builds bridges between pop, afrobeats, her Congolese roots, and the story of a Brazilian artist now based in France. Both intimate and universal, Convecta celebrates genre-blending and the power of artistic renewal within the Brazilian music scene.
